Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
无语……老套的故事，敷衍的人物塑造，yy式的女性角色，套个电影情怀，一些人就开始自我拔高了
2021BJIFF “你去干什么” “除了看电影我还能干什么”。“看电影看到死”，为电影，为电影人，为迷影人。
永远对导演在电影中能大胆袒露自己的心迹感到着迷，无论那是脆弱还是不堪。
如果打破第四面墙的情节在医院病房的拉帘那里，我会更喜欢这个故事。
朋友烂泥说：“为什么看电影的人，生命得到了延长，因为拍电影的人生命缩短了，能量守恒。 ”能看着电影在电影院死去是电影之神的眷顾。
老男人不痛不痒的忏悔和洋洋洒洒的自我感动真让我想吐。
松竹百年作，确实有点作，这么自私的人生不讨人喜，北川景子倒是很养眼。
成熟工业标准生产的垃圾，好活，但有点烂。致敬小津就拘泥于俯拍镜头真是买椟还珠，致敬原节子管人家叫桂圆子你开心就好。小津最美是尽在不言中，原节子最美在show not tell。学学，真的。（suda好灵）
电光幻影之间一辈子就过去了。可惜志村桑没有机会主演了。
今天的我们，应该矢志不渝地葆有一个信念，那就是：唯精神坚不可摧。
作为松竹百年献礼，弄个“电影之神”这么大的名头，加以山田洋次的资历，本片格局可委实是小了。如果要给电影写一封情书，要致敬和感怀一段光辉岁月，就算拍不出《千年女优》的感觉，至少也得像《好莱坞往事》那样吧，但本片就像前不久的《默片解说员》，浮皮掠影虚头巴脑，不见深情真心欠奉。男主的人设就很能说明问题，刚当上导演就因为一点根本都算不上挫折的小事而灰心放弃，之后几十年都浑浑噩噩混吃等死，请问哪里能看出一点对电影的热爱了？然后，那个作为戏眼的剧本不就是《开罗紫玫瑰》么，这样重要的元素都不搞点原创却直接拿来主义，这也太偷懒了吧……
哦有点没看懂，为什么最后说人的精神坚不可摧呢?难道是说虽然身体身陷囹圄，但是精神已经逃了出去，逃到了自己搭建的象棋世界吗？这种关于心理学的电影确实是比较难看懂的。
影视民工许多地方都有共鸣（懂自懂🥲）其实反而觉得两段故事的衔接这样做才好，不必批评故事老套幼稚，写的就是那些自我怀疑没有才华的时刻，这也是片子与作者的关系，对于90岁的山田洋次来说，比起精雕细琢，已经更在意快乐看电影本身。
山田洋次還是那麼老套地在精準算計催淚的橋段 疫情期間看還是挺感慨的增加了體驗感

以前看过的小说。又是拍了电影。我小学还会跟人下象棋呢，可是现在完全忘了。😂茨威格写的，真不错呀
这个故事拍的OK，但不精彩，靠男主的表演撑起了一部戏。
真是一位好姑娘啊，"不是他要给我幸福，而是我想要给他幸福"，算是一个非常圆融首尾呼应良好的故事了。泽田研二老爷子真让人惊讶，年轻时候帅得那么风华绝代，失敬了。
老爷子生动，苏打正常发挥。故事老套又感人。
