The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 影片结尾，拉森却重整旗鼓，开始创作《吉屋出租》。就是这个瞬间，对我的冲击力太大了。看完影片我其实不会觉得拉森可怜，甚至有些羡慕他。
轻易就能妥协
本片的片名来自他的另一部同名音乐剧，虽然我不太爱看音乐舞蹈片，但这部电影里的表演和歌曲还是挺有感染力的，因为他的歌曲内容大部分来自他自己的生活，所以他的成功因此而改变了音乐剧的定义。
虽然不像la la land那么全面 但是故事好很多
穷困潦倒还能一片赤诚追逐梦想，真羡慕，真佩服。
前面的剪辑一度难进入，后面渐入佳境，最喜欢的几幕是泳池的音谱和天台的想象。好像一只蜡烛啊，尽管短暂但拼命燃烧，发光发热。如果这样活过的话，也足够精彩了吧。
加菲的演技有点尬住，但是他太真诚了，那双眼睛流起泪来很难不勾得人跟他一起心碎。音乐好喜欢啊。
这么好的音乐应该在大银幕畅响，加菲演得真好！

我大概就是不喜欢musical period
喜欢轻盈交错的剪辑，和加菲真诚得看起来不太聪明的笑容，喜欢夜晚在大广场上弹琴回忆小时候那段，但这些都被广场那迎合庸俗煽情的细雨浇灭了一部分。看完想去看看《Rent》
讲述可以说改变现代音乐剧形式的天才剧作家乔纳森拉森的人物传记片，他却也没能逃脱早逝的命运。

非常喜欢这个“30岁生日”的故事，而自己也即将到达这个关卡。而立之年，一地碎渣，甚至看不清未来，这样的人生还有多少意义？

故事，歌曲，表演都不錯，但舞台音樂劇與電影的那種違和感從頭持續到尾
比较纯粹的歌舞片。
我能看《第七封印》《都灵之马》《四次》《另一个故乡》这种闷片都能看得津津有味，歌舞片对我来说是一个坎，上次愉悦地看完一个歌舞片还是《爱乐之城》，这片的主角本身就长在我的审美盲点上（不知道怎回事，看到这种五官尤其是咧嘴的时候，脑海里总是浮现出傻子的观感），加上每次一起音乐——不能说好坏，只能说实在是太不对路了，于是，分数再高，也无法坚持看下去，不想折磨自己。
