The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 打标签的时候想了想，虽然从电影中看到太多，看甜蜜走向悲凉，看一群人走到没有人，看庆贺走调成哀悼，看浪漫走样成无望的守望。一桩桩一件件洋洋洒洒，但它们拼接起来的东西，大概只能也只需要用“人生”这个标签来总结。
