The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 其实就科恩的水平，即使单飞也能把这样一出反映命运对人类捉弄的本子拍出新意，毕竟这也是他们曾经常用的主题，但是他不仅没有这么做还拍出了一部华而不实的无聊作品，着实让人失望了。
戏剧总有一种魔力，会把电影拽入平庸的深渊。科恩找到了表现主义这把钥匙，打开了那扇联通两个世界的门。我看完震撼得只想问：“科恩，兄dei！考虑把莎士比亚都拍一遍嘛？”
单纯对我来说，这部电影或是戏剧体验感极佳，风格上简直是在我的G点跳舞…
去影院前特意看了剧情简介，然后不出所料地基本没听懂。
