The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 艾伦索金用了一个扎实的剧本来借古讽今，借此片指着懂王鼻子开骂。可惜对于各方立场的标签化处理让整个事件缺乏真实感。过于依靠台词推动也暴露了这位大编剧拙略的导演能力。6.5/10
堂而皇之的公开践踏人权，在拥有第一修正案的美国尚且不能拿起法律武器来维护，可见人的权利的维护时时刻刻不能被忽视，被搁置，被让渡。电影最后一幕，当一个个名字被念出，那份真正的爱国者光辉光芒万丈。
剧本的设置也极为精彩。
好久没有看到这么节奏紧凑的剧情片了，开头短短几分钟交代故事背景，剪辑衔接得也十分自然流畅，还不时穿插一些小幽默。

This is splendid cinematography. O how splendid! But somehow the story feels like self-entertainment to and only to an ironic level.
3.5 啧原来和波斯语课一样是真·你的名字，索金老师燃真心是燃，写主旋律剧的编剧们特别值得来学习，只是他的套路化的手法看多了也有点疲乏，煽得点掐得真好，有些目的性的东西也过于明显，也可以说是他的某种投机取巧的方式；以一场庭审串联起的烽火连天却又燃情四海的理想主义的年代，属于芝加哥的街垒之夜，除了新闻镜头，几乎全赖室内调度与演员功力；感觉法官和庭审戏还是有点偏，比如讥讽法官名字都老记不得之类的，不如正正经经严肃型描绘，有些讽刺性的内容点到即止，写出当时的保守局限，继而自然就更能凸显进步意义了不好嘛；“Father, No!” 观众席笑得和片中旁听席一样笑翻了
囧瑟夫饰演的公诉人也站在控方立场表现出了最大的公正和敬意

7.8 对法庭逼逼片一直都很有好感，这片毛病不少，但看着挺爽。
索金的剧本就不吹了，但他对于自己的剧本依然无法进行取舍，整部电影仍然是被剧本支配带着跑，铺陈满密集对白和庞大信息量的法庭辩论、会议演讲、示威游行以及纪录片段，没有给予片刻让观众停下来思考喘息，你知道它所批判所要表达的，但影片结束后并不会被感染不会被煽动不会去反思，这是电影技法和视听的失败不是剧本的。在看的时候一直会想要是大卫芬奇、贝尼特米勒或者原定的绿草或老斯来处理这个剧本会是什么样？
当今天政治正确已经沦为了虚无主义的时候，人类还剩下什么值得相信的东西呢？
剧本和剪辑确实漂亮。通过庭审过程中的不断闪回，逐步勾勒了和平抗议如何变成了暴力冲突，没有浪费笔墨在还原冲突本身上。
