Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.
第一次看录像带系列，还蛮喜欢的。摄像头人造人cool，雨夜守灵味道足，吸血鬼的血遇光发生爆炸这种想法真妙。
这复古高糊画质刚开始看着真挺难受，好在看会儿也就习惯了。守灵和人体实验两个故事最好，鼠人和吸血鬼一般，主线串联的那个没太整明白。总体来说还是可以满足重口味观众的，还算过瘾，血腥cult程度远远大于恐怖。

what's more, 最重要的是尝试用糊画质伪装真实感，那你那镜头为什么一直在剪辑啊。。。逆大天。。这一点真的做得太烂了
跟第二部一样，也就第三个故事能看看，像极了《弗兰肯斯坦兵团》，印尼这个导演挺有才的。还有就是希望下一部别再整这么高糊的画质了！
挺不错的，尤其是第三部人机杂交这个最有创意。当然整体格调不高，但这种电影就是用来撸的，爽就行了。
以至于现在就记得这几个故事了
伪纪录片的形式电影的经典，依旧是一个主线做过渡，里面穿插4个故事，对于故事没什么好多说的，有好有坏，第三个最经典，第二个不行，道具制作真的满分，拍完电影拿去做鬼屋都能再赚一票。
就感觉好像这个系列已经开始摆烂了，想法不是不好，但是感觉都想不认真拍了，第三个故事叫什么啊，一群人玩尬的手舞足蹈，第四个故事更是乱七八糟
VHS好玩点子还是多的。这部气氛不赖。故事么有些过度追求逻辑，导致失真。主线的梗么我不太喜欢，但是看得出来玩心挺大。
cult短篇集。如果不是不久前看了《灵媒》可能因为伪纪录片的形式还会再加半星。
照比前三部差很多，除了机械博士的有点意思，其它的都不够邪，而且少了这个系列最重要的东西，就是xxx漂亮妹子！

What the fuck...印尼那个片段很适合做游戏，仅此而已。
很特殊的一部电影，没有英文字幕，没法看了。感觉没必要故意把画面弄这么糟糕，毕竟主流手机都可以轻松4k拍摄，更不会搞什么隔行扫描了。
有被吓到了，特别是第一个
《下水道鼠人》4⭐半，《守灵人》4⭐，《科学怪人》4⭐，《爆炸吸血鬼》3⭐，很吃这种第一视觉的伪记录片，第一视角代入感极强。
重金属B级异闻，金属改造人太赞了。7.8/10.
够疯狂，够血腥，只是结尾稍显老套。四个单元故事里，“义肢狂魔”最精彩，好似第二部里的“魔王降世”，整体的着眼点还是在人对“异化”得恐惧，第四个故事挺鸡肋了，有些冗长，整体还可以
