The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 平淡是可以的，但不能无聊。电影没有让人想看下去的欲望。克鲁尼吃不了导演这碗饭。这孩子也是个花瓶，电影里很少有童星出不了彩的，只能说是个pretty but boring boy。

好多处剪辑唐突、人物关系浮于表面、情节不够靠歌词来凑，看个音乐剧都比这电影强吧…
大本太高了，一点没有废柴舅舅那味。小男孩的眼睛像是割失败了的双眼皮。
很多人在说此片平淡寡味，生活不就是这样的吗？其实他的人生较大多数人已经够波折有料了，爹够渣但舅舅足够暖。。

外国电影喜欢找爸，中国电影喜欢找妈。另外就是外国电影喜欢弑父，似乎找爸弑父是西方无论是神化还是传记（普通人故事）特别喜欢表达。这部虽平庸拖沓主题到也符合西式哲学。
