The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 电影本身拍得并不出彩且有点理想化，但胜在真实改编和题材敢拍，商业电影早就抛离我们几条街是事实；内地从不缺题材、资金和影视人才，但就是不敢拍和难以过审就直接摆烂，反正多烂都有观众捧场，这才是让人心痛；虽然港台电影也是日落西山，但衬托下也只有寄望港台地区；本片现实意义大于电影质素，3.5星~
把所有证人和律师通通收买了，一丁点希望都不给他们。不过估计这戏也是过不了审了，只能自己慢慢欣赏。
很好听，很好哭。但不适合拍电影啊……太单调了……像是网飞大电影
给三星我真的看着musical 的面子给的，看了现场真的是直击心灵，结果这部片子真的是为了拍而拍，叙事结构就很无语，更别说整个片子的节奏了，我本来拿这部的制作对照的是lalaland，结果算了，根本不是一个档次，只能说你把现场musical 整场录一个4k都好，非要拍一个电影，可惜了这么好的音乐剧，这么好的演员，musical真是好评不断，也拿奖，这电影拍出来我真的无力吐槽。
这样一个事件怎么拍成这个样子... 太平淡无力了 差点意思！！
超越《歌舞青春》比肩《冰雪奇缘》 另外这是电影版，请不要和舞台剧比对，拉低分数。主角的演唱功底，和演技都无可替代，年龄大一点又有何妨？
就凭敢于将真实事件改编成电影，揭露种种丑恶现象这一点，韩国电影便能称得上伟大二字。
叙事平淡 但还是有被最后感动到 互相推诿那段看得火大 没有人愿意站出来为无辜逝去的生命道歉 为了追逐利润连本心都要丢掉吗？类似案件倒是想起了三鹿奶粉事件 羡慕他韩啥也能拍的创作环境 我们需要被看见 现实意义始终大于一切
真相浮出，可没有人愿意道歉负责，也或许他们承担不起承认自家商品有毒的后果。
比起音乐剧讽刺性弱了太多，拍的感染力不足，立意不如音乐剧鲜明。亮点是增加了几首原创，挺好听的。总体演绎的很一般，无新意，部分唱段略尬。
之前还看到说加湿器要用纯净水 干脆别用加湿器了
类似于黑水的杜邦，不过韩国拍纪实故事都带有戏剧性。只有亲自体会，才能感受险恶。
加湿器杀菌剂引发的血案，电影本身很真实，但事件真相足够震惊全社会，确实佩服南边对其政府腐败的彻底揭露，电影确实不是给韩国人看的，是给边上邻居们看的。
结尾一幕还挺有震撼感的，但前面铺垫的太弱了
加湿器消毒剂中含有致病物质，受害者们一同维权，打败强大公司的故事。副总的反转有一点抓马，但也在情理之中，挺好的。结尾那一幕有被震撼到。
没有最后的反转，又是一次资本的胜利，没钱没蒜的普通民众没有地方发声，连最基本的诉讼费都交不起，所以大多时候，受害者不是不想等法院有一个公正的结果，而是他们根本等不起，不得不接受和解拿钱，生活成本，治疗成本让他们不得不妥协
都很可怜但是都不无辜be like，看后半截的时候简直怀疑中秋看前五十分钟哭成狗的自己是不是看了两部片。从无数网友感动留言和视频开始一路崩，尬到饭都吃不下去后面半快进着看完了。什么鬼。
太无聊了，还是那个老套路，这种剧本你把加湿器换成别的又能拍一部。
根据真实事件改编，最后官员推诿扯皮的嘴脸真是够了
社恐患者 碰巧遇到 自杀问题家庭，治愈着自己而也治愈了这个家庭，在孤独的人也配有朋友，最后没有商业般双赢，没有特别煽情的结局，生活还是继续
