The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 《廊桥遗梦》中的东木老爷子确确实实有其独特的男人魅力，但本片中还不断有女人倒贴就多少有些他想展现自己不服老的意味了。
温情有余，就是没什么劲，毕竟这是个现代片，可能更像他本人的侧写了。结尾还是要来一下，小男孩说他会去，也是考虑到要给老头一个好的归宿。不然的话怎么办？美国的关口肯定是被爸爸堵住的，所以留在墨西哥逃亡吗？这点strong和grit才是男孩应拥有的，所以macho送给了老头，是从前那个男人的纪念。
喜欢中间两幕场景的处理和设计.老爷子的电影大概看一部少一部吧.且看且珍惜.整个片子是温和的 .
情节偏简单，小男主演技也青涩，老爷子精神矍铄
简单真挚，但确实很多漏洞，墨西哥警长一秒变好人，老板娘任劳任怨，太扁平了
一直帅，希望这么优秀的电影人能长命百岁，不期而遇的美好！

Cineplex. International Village. 东木爷爷的“货运司机”情节系列，可以拍到天荒地老，反正老爷子开心就好，从运货运人到运鸡鸭鱼牛羊马，随意搭配。小打小闹的公路片，单身老汉南下寻爱，顺路搭个表演尴尬的小哥北上得州与父团圆。好的，就是昏昏沉沉的下午钻进电影院看一个没什么人的午餐剧，睡着也就当小憩，醒来也没有错过什么大场面。看到7.0的评分被吓到了，5/10其中1.5还是给了美丽风光，不信DB评分了，经此一次
东木竟然还能演戏，出乎意料，可惜这部的故事有点无聊，但东木老人的戏只能且看且珍惜了。
电影本身很淡很简单。能够看到老爷子还在拍电影就好温暖，
