The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 很真实啊。有时候理想是完满的，现实总是交错的、困惑的，而你在其中沉默，被批评，做了道德上“错误”的事，当你自己尚未理解一切。
想起小时候看的小人书《斯库台三英雄》。不过，部长女儿主动宣誓入伙，被莫名其妙击毙……后来假白女摘头套与劫持者拥抱……这些情节实在用力过猛、煽情过度了，逻辑不能自洽，我不相信这是真的。
但这类表达反抗的，种族歧视的，战争创伤的故事，却总是让我们不仅要反思，为什么我们会如此激动，为什么我们会感动或愤怒，时代明明在进步，可那些永无休止的问题为何却总是挥之不去，萦绕脑畔
自由是什么？是一切，自由价更高，若为自由故，一切皆可抛。
