The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 水准之上，不像成人动画，属于儿童动画。
中段一人一机的磨合过程可可爱爱，Ron贱兮兮的性格果然才最宝贵哈哈哈。故事倒是有些冗长了，尤其公司反派CEO的戏份太多。反思现在小孩子跟屏幕做朋友算亮点。

除去电影部分俗套的剧情和大数据设定，因为类似题材实在是太多了，但Barney和Ron独处的剧情很令人感动，就是后面明知去森林会缺电量，到冒险入侵总部有点草率，有点不合理，大家还是离不开社交网络，但他重新拥有了人类朋友，而Ron活在云端，无处不在。
