The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 只能说南非的电影工业尚在起步阶段，或者说也就这样了。没什么逻辑，也比较粗糙，混乱中坚持了50分钟，看不下去了。曼德拉作为南非比较有故事性的人物，能以此为素材拍出了这么难看的一部电影，那也真是烂泥扶不上墙了吧。看这里竟然超过7分，这是对南非革命者报以同情的打分吗？
根据南非种族隔离期间，一桩真实的人质劫持事件改编，不过与当时的实际情况有很大出入，属于对历史的再创作，掺杂了很多剧组单方面的理想化的虚构。

看完好难过qaq……不过这次终于get到了神尾的颜
大到超乎你的想象。
根据上世纪八十年代发生于南非的真实银行人质劫持案改编。影片整体上还拍得比较流畅，尤其是开头的几个追逐镜头，场景调度非常到位，一气呵成。此案件并非简单的刑事案件，实则是有着强烈的政治背景，劫犯是南非反种族隔离的黑人，提出的条件是释放曼德拉。导演处理起来有些左右为难，既想将这起张力十足的案件拍得好看，又得兼具其政治背景，在剧情中加入许多政治元素，竭力向着有历史感的政治性影片方向引。此片后面显得有些松懈，逻辑上也出现问题，最后喊起了口号。
纯从教室跳下去的场面，果然不管是剧还是电影都很有冲击性…

今井翼的演技越来越好了，最后被分手难过演得很好；
