The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 汉克斯最套路的那类角色，几乎完美无瑕的美式英雄，故事的呈现也比简介还要来的没创意。
【2.5】喜欢这个象征性地将人类命运交接给机器人的结局，尽管这仍旧是一个过分乐观和执着于人类遗产的伟大意义的想象，但至少影片不再像多数末世灾难题材那样，深陷在人类命运的物种性延续上。除此以外，本片之于我毫无新鲜观感和乐趣，疫情下有的观众确实需要温柔抒情的电影抚慰，但在过往电影中已经可以找到大量更好的电影代替时，它的出现不见得是件好事。
没想到的是汉克斯老了还要再演一把荒岛余生…
其他评论里也指出了，这是一部很简单，甚至很俗套的电影，但是足够立体的人物和表演，外加精湛的机器人特效让整部片子显得十分有心，在俗套之余仍能打动许多人，讲好那个看似简单的故事。
好久没有全神贯注地看一部电影了，故事简单但表达的内容丰富，人狗机器人的设定太妙了。It‘s human experience，不要宅，去外面的世界看看。当我们死去，你是否留有遗憾？你的孩子是你生命的延续。
