The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这是我继黑凤凰之后第二部让我在影院感到最无聊，最无病呻吟，最不知所云的电影，我能感受到这部电影强烈试图通过小人物小事件硬塞给我温情和感动的意愿，可是它塞的太刻意了，剧情安排尬到不行，毫无真实感。旁边的朋友问我最多的话就是，这是在干嘛，我也只能摇摇头，编剧的想法我们猜不透，周冬雨和贾玲那段笑的真尬，后来雨中那段哭的更不明所以。可惜了黄渤，贾玲等一众老戏骨的卖力演出。
很担心是把抗疫描述成惊心动魄的各种，但是这个电影治愈了我的不安。贾玲和朱一龙真是很欢乐，黄渤发挥也很稳定。
反杀为什么不彻底杀死.....无语。还敢约吗，跟陌生人回家？😂

也就打了二十个哈欠吧，塞包不适合这种角色，女主眼睛像安妮海瑟薇
人人都有弱点，和食人魔谈恋爱是一种什么样的感觉？优点：女主可爱，笑容很治愈；缺点：除优点之外。
质量合格的恐怖新片，喜剧元素不明显，整体节奏缓慢，精简一些就好了
又一部girls help girls的电影，不够血腥也不够有趣，塞巴斯依旧帅。
这海报太诱惑了，结果看了个寂寞，成片里面没有这只手，切割的画面也不拍，就弄了一些道具在冰柜里摆着，有什么可看的？而且通篇剪辑和剧情的推进存在很大的问题，bug用脚趾头想都有一大堆
关于疫情的电影已经上了一部又一部，可疫情并未远去，还在反复，希望明年能好起来，生活不要再被疫情打乱😭😭😭
还行 看得出是有诚意的 想勇哥武哥老奶奶这些人来看 都是冲着让大家踊跃为新冠志愿者致敬来拍的。只是我觉得相比于《在一起》来说 重点放在了疫情之外的【情】明明是披着的大核心是对抗新冠 又在点题之重放在了情情爱爱 真的不太喜欢。特别指出 周冬雨短短几分钟演得真好真自然 很有活力地给这一场沉重的电影增添几分生机勃勃。
扫荡这些食人者，
看之前没想到会是那么打动人心的一部作品，甚至有点想写长评了，等我缓缓，现在还是有点激动。
回想流泪的点，不为任何一段故事情节，而是为看新闻和在剪抗疫宣传片时看过无数次的那些画面，武汉空城，拥挤的医院，昼日昼夜的消杀，解封那一刻…精致的桥段刻意的煽情在这些面前显得那么渺小，真实自有万钧之力。
刚开始还是小清新恋爱片，到了中间画风急转，变成了惊悚片，这转折也太夸张了，不太能接受。惊悚的场面不少，但可看的看点不多，剧情bug也不少，最后的大乱斗比较平庸，属于本片败笔了。最大的看点还是塞包塑造的这个邪恶中带着点天真无知的反派，属实是过于迷人了。

无论是对疫情的描写还是对人物的刻画，都显得恰到好处，女导演的视角真的是很细腻，一部很舒服的故事片。

惊悚片的壳，爱情片的核，爱恨之间切换生硬，终究还是一个狼爱上羊的故事。
