In New York, the rookie newsman Christopher "Chris" Tyler dreams on becoming a famous journalist. Chris has his great chance when his editor Frank Carteret sends him to Rome assigned as a foreign correspondent. Cicely stays in New York with Tommy and does not tell to Chris that she is pregnant. When she delivers the baby Kit, Chris celebrates and loses a big scoop and his boss fires him. Chris falls in disgrace and the couple has economic difficulties; however Tommy lends money to Cicely and offers an opportunity on the stage as an actress. Cicely is hired and becomes successful and Chris is depressed with the situation. Cicely seeks out Frank Carteret and explains the situation, and he offers a job opportunity to Chris in Russia. He accepts the job but Cicely stays in New York with their son....

lgbt内容里很新的题材，在hulu完整看完。两个亚裔男在七天fireisland收获爱情的故事。
有一两段cut还挺可爱
这片在烂番茄都是高赞分数，豆瓣目前6.3评分明显过低了。各种基佬夸张的欢乐，也不乏温馨浪漫的小时光，编剧、导演、演员表演、音乐、摄影都很用心，亚裔同志当主角也是让人长脸的美事，不明白豆瓣这么多阴阳怪气的贬低？
看到最后，长舒一口气。雪地有盲视，还有幻觉。
编剧差点事儿，人物情感缺乏支撑。noah这个角色设定很有意思，他是有一定资本实现圈层跨越的，howie临走之前说noah知道这个世界是怎么运行的，简单的打打气真的不够，一语道破真谛。

什么简奥斯汀 我觉得大大小小的问题到处都是 但多少触及了一点性向族裔和自我认同的症结 傲慢与偏见的模版让这个比较尖锐的议题柔和了不少 但也牺牲了一些更深入的探讨 但无论如何这个题材的片子能逐渐脱离白人男性（年轻的，壮硕的，帅气的，上很多床的）的叙事主体我必然是鼓掌叫好的
2.5/5 该片少数做对了的地方：1）being vulnerable is okay; 2）为亚裔男同增加了cinematic representation; 3）（浅薄地）视像化了男同社群令人窒息的种族主义与white queerness. 但这也是它令人失望的地方：批评heteronormativity时行heteronormativity之实，讽刺white queerness却无时不刻都充斥着white queerness. 批判力度还不如亚裔同志博主写得出彩的网文，2022年了还在玩把主角换成少数群体、内核却依旧陈腐的烂把戏。virtue signaling, queer-baiting content at its finest…（Bowen请好好挑剧本…

非常好看。年輕酷兒嚮往且需要在這個世代看到的浪漫喜劇。熱評提到的好幾天在這不打炮純嘮嗑的，我很難過你們無法從這部電影得到愉悅感，反而是加深順從且內化了整個社會的恐同和刻板印象在你自己的身上。 It's too cute and makes me weirdly horny like wtf.
