The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up.     确实没有TV版有味儿。

    故事像一个古老梦幻的童话，画面像一款轻盈流畅的游戏，主题是女权主义的爱与包容，网飞出品的又一动画佳作（但很难称为杰作）。片中多次出现的“do nothing”总让我想到007里女主对James说的“do something”，如果这是母系与父系权力背景下的观念差异之一的话，大约就能明白为何近世以来父权始终占据上风了，神性与兽性间是需要平衡的，而神性的脆弱就在于我们不具备神坚不可摧的肉体，一旦有人打破了这种平衡，生死存亡就变得十分不确定了。毕竟，人类早就忘了，我们究竟是不是有同一个祖母。
