The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. {★★★☆} 把一个老派的罪案故事讲出了一个迂回迂回迂迂回的角色弧光，以后网飞大数据电影都该这么拍的废话我就不说了，但这是流水线向High Art进军的起码水准。冷峻压抑的前共产主义波兰社会起到了作用，但氛围以外，它很好地证明了比起在叙事迷宫里兜圈的棋子，我们更愿意尾随有血有肉、会笑会哭的人。

压抑的黑历史，不得不怀疑是不是每个人内心都存在对同性的爱慕，只是看能不能遇到触发开关的那个人。男二颜值太可了，男主不被掰弯天理不容。

导演不是在讲述一个发生在黑暗时代的同性恋罪案故事，而是将一个同性恋故事用那样的时代来做背景，包装于一个侦探故事中。导演太关注其中同性恋的内涵了，予以太多的强调，让一桩真实事件变得并不真实。
没有什么太大的惊喜，总归也还是不难看。前面三分之二的铺垫还挺不错的，最后的结局不是特别喜欢。
