The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 沉郁而悲伤，是Paolo对Vittorio的告别式。用Kaos为不曾共同实现的The Nail写下注脚，隔着漫漫时光的回望在黑白与色彩交替的场面化作一丝轻叹。前2/3的荒诞与神秘是Pirandello的幽灵在Taviani兄弟的历史戏剧元叙事中逡巡。后1/3则明显断裂，不知所措。从剧本中删除的《游吟诗人》唱词Leonora addio…被保留成为标题，同样飘荡如幽灵，就像片中无处不在的Vittorio。

诚然影片中段我也想把导演吊起来陀螺般抽打，但此片的前40分钟和结尾，通篇神话寓言的呈现，非常接近我心目中理想的电影……意象、背景、配乐、光影、调度、表演、布景。未经准备的少年在懵懂中踏上试炼之旅。高文的黄粱一梦，剪接中光阴如白驹过隙。
