The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 题材用了残奥会冠军的故事，也点到了残疾运动员以及他们家人的心酸和社会的反应，不过也就点到为止，没有深挖。可以看出电影重点不在这里。
感觉还行，嗯。还算不错吧。
港片总多了一份细腻，这种以为是主旋律电影，却能让人有一种细腻的感觉。

補片。40屆金像獎兩部體育片，硬件不對等，導演水平高下立判，憑什麼擠掉《奪冠》？
吴君如其实很适合这种正常表达的角色 不要总把自己当搞笑的人了
比我想象的好看 在体育场妈妈和阿伟的争吵是全片高潮部分 电影里花了很多篇幅来论证同工不同酬 因为妈妈为阿伟接了很多广告就是为了跑步 但事实上生活中刘德华已经帮阿伟解决了生活的困难 所以电影里想说的观点是希望同工同酬吧
吳君如演技有點over. 但不阻止整個戲院的人喊到PK.
於是，初審能把此片送入5強，有一半，是衝著母慈子孝，另外一半，是跟這代人，即年輕人，站在一起。
主题歌也是写得很好「为何 多么艰苦，
演员演技真的佩服，真的以为是请残障人士来演的。不过感觉叫“神奇小子的妈妈”比较合适。
影片的故事很励志、很热血，却始终难以让人相信。
最末尾有个感动点。
本应是妈妈的视角，可能导演不想变成吴君如一个人的独角戏，所以把母子关系一碗水端平了，故事的深度和力度都差了口气。

男主的几位扮演者都很出彩，虽然影片成色一般，但对运动精神的敬仰，对残障人士群体的关注还是让人感动与反思
