The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 艾丽是自然的承载女主底层欲望的存在，所以女主每动念头，艾丽就会行动，并像脱缰的野马一样难以控制。直到女主善良的一面让她认识到事情的严重，不惜摔伤自己也要救下baby。艾丽就像个雏鸟，为了母亲脱掉自己不像人类的鸟嘴，女主对待雏鸟就如母亲对待她。在人类让她失望后，张大嘴巴却回不到鸟形。。最后结局咔嚓一下我没看懂。

不喜欢不喜欢不喜欢，还好出轨的那个男的和他的小女儿没有惨遭毒手，看不懂这个想表达什么，血腥暴力刺激，啊看得我不舒适。

小女孩的演技真不错啊，她把那种惊愕演得真好，还有听到妈妈说爱上别人的失望和伤心也好真实。谭尼亚只想要妈妈的爱，但她妈只想让她进赢得比赛。最后一个镜头好美，没看之前以为是另一个演员演最后一个镜头，没想到是女主，太会演了

十一陪女儿看的，虽然看完感觉浪费了45元电影票，但是女儿开心就好
Body horror的展现好像深得柯南伯格亲传，客体又是女孩，自然引发更强的恐惧体验。母题是非常传统的控制-反抗主干，爱的畸变比怪物更可怖。双重孵化关系，母亲失败，女儿成功，代价无可逆转，结局的安排充满宿命般的悲剧色彩，但表现手法稚嫩且单薄，没能增添悲剧的厚重感。
其实还是再说青春期叛逆和家庭教育给孩子带来的影响。
差点就错过这个不错的片了，氛围渲染的很到位，是一部把恐怖和奇幻拿捏的恰到好处的影片
类似于“养鬼吃人”的片子，有着北欧电影独特的奇幻和恐怖色彩，但情节处理的一般结局没能免俗。特效化妆不错。
还蛮喜欢的，节奏很紧凑很精悍。母亲看似无意杀死孩子，但其实早就注定了，一切恶都来源于此。小女孩演技很棒。
具备很深的教育意义，适合家长和老师观看。现代教育要从唯分数论到关注其他更重要的东西，比如爱的教育，素质教育等等。我们大人跟孩子沟通的桥梁就是童话故事，如果没有童话世界，我们就相隔更远，更为陌生。孩子是我们的老师，教育也是我们的必修课，通过孩子的眼睛，我们可以看到更多不一样的角度，不能自以为是。
很怪诞，可能不了解什么北欧移民问题，看的有点恶心，包括妈妈爸爸，都让人不适。
有点意思。北欧人的脑洞跟日本人一样大，只不过没有变态的感觉😳
女儿的演技不错，而且好有气质好美，就是我想象中那种北欧带着忧郁和神秘气质的小仙女。
