The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 要不是韩孝周那张脸，半小时都看不下去，光洙开场那尴尬的大笑差点抠出三室一厅，难道除了装疯卖傻就立不起搞笑人设了吗？
冲着韩孝周的脸来的，在开头那句高丽一千年历史就绷不住了，然后当韩孝周出场的时候，南美泫雅风造型，懵了，原来这就是亚洲海盗？即便如此我还是忍了下去，看完了这个running man海盗主题大电影。李光洙，低配版狙击王乌索普，穿着乌索普cosplay服，大喊我是新的海贼王。很好！致敬海贼王！然后种种服化道不想说了，剧情没有什么剧情，特效，五毛钱特效，那段水下河的特效令人笑出声来。很好笑，韩孝周也拿出了比演韩剧更浮夸的演技，大概率是为了突出喜剧内核。但是对于不喜欢李光洙RM搞笑形式的观众来说，太多重复的李光洙式搞笑会让人烦。总之，如果你想欣赏韩孝周的美，去看电影版内在美；如果你喜欢看李光洙搞笑，去看RM；如果你喜欢看海盗与特效，去看加勒比海盗；如果你喜欢吴世勋，去看唱跳。远离此片，减少浪费时间。
东方武学加公主复仇，剧情老套到无以复加。现在流媒体的大部分作品越来越不走心，剧本稀碎，密集的打斗却索然无味，看个乐都不够 @Hulu
有点扯，入侵的士兵全是傻子，公主体力无限….
说真的如果说这片是为了推出迪士尼新设施 又或者是为了搞一个新的游戏ip而拍的 我是完全不会意外😂

I can see this becoming a cult classic. It's female warrior princess trope. We kept thinking of swamp castle in Monty Python yakubd.net and Shawn of the dead... I'd watch it again if I needed a laugh and a female power pick me up .

完全是游戏的设定，从塔顶打到塔底。然后还加了一条女性主义的线索。动作戏还是可以看看的。其它无法深究。琳不错，还以为是华人，原来是越南人。
密室逃脱杀人游戏，一众身经百战的战士斗不过一个为家人搏命的公主！
前面是真的拉垮，部分特效也是五毛，场景剧情不断闪切，主线故事不算复杂，无用支线太多，2小时的电影都做不到流畅推进剧情，是不是一开始邀请太多客串了，就随意写一些场景。P.S光洙就是换了个地方出演RM（5.9）

高开低走，难怪如此明显的3D效果最后选择了网络发行，动作设计不断重复，开场以女性角色占到的惊艳首发，迅速失去快感，主要演员的身手缺陷越来越明显。公主躲进澡盆的桥段翻版倩女幽魂，直接唤醒了对香港电影黄金时代女演员明艳动人的记忆，公主就会让大东亚区观众觉得，这姑娘实在不够好看。导演虽然算香蕉人，可英语似乎还不够好，人物塑造特别平庸造作，甚至有硬伤，反派质问手下“这是我问的吗？”ask只有非英语母语的人容易只当成“问”，而在英语环境里这词常用的含义是“请求”，这里恰当问句应该是换用名词question，不然英语观众反倒会产生歧义，理解不了这个梗，骄横跋扈的反派不会ask，只会tell

李光洙这搞笑演技一点都不搞笑，能别演了么。姜河那也比不来金南佶的搞笑功力
百名壮汉做成背景墙，三个女人的功夫戏，绝对政治正确。最后一秒是亮点。
