The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 东木老爷子帅了一辈子，现在已经91岁高龄了，只要还能继续拍电影我就心满意足了，何必苛求年轻时的质量呢

牛仔大爷太老了，他刚一出场我都不相信自己的眼睛，全片充满了烈士暮年的感觉，也象征着牛仔精神的没落。
《廊桥遗梦》中的东木老爷子确确实实有其独特的男人魅力，但本片中还不断有女人倒贴就多少有些他想展现自己不服老的意味了。

音乐摄影让人舒适。没有太多冲突，满满温情。只是，看90岁的老爷子行动迟缓了，还是觉得很心酸。
平淡無奇，簡潔直接，但結尾有點感動。東木爺子此等精力令我敬佩，有些許幾個鏡頭很有感覺，但估計是因為老爺子體力不如以往，沒時間雕琢。他現在就是想多拍。多一部就是賺，拍下去！此外，還有一些台詞；結合老爺子年輕時的精力；對過往是有反思的。
