The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 本来以为会滑坡，毕竟ova追忆篇一贯被称作神作，但是电影版竟然不落下风。然后终于看到天诛人斩时，剑心有多凶狠凌厉了，相比之下，维新以后战斗力下降的厉害。好看，这系列彻底结束了吧？期待国内能引进，想去电影院看，然后特别可惜电影版没了动画版里，维新大业成功前夕，高杉晋作吐血而亡的悲壮，但是见到了，剑心与冲田总司两个绝顶高手之间的对决，好看
好想回家 我自己养活不了自己啦
一年春夏秋冬，腥风血雨中的爱情悲剧。看在十字疤的编排上给了四星。死在剑心手里的一对男女，临死前为剑心各添一刀。那句“ごめなさい，あなた”，既是向竹马夫君道歉爱上了仇人，也是对剑心这位深爱过的第二个あなた抱歉，带着恨来到你身边，却不能带着爱陪你走下去。爱和恨是一体两面，一刀是恨，一刀是爱，看哦，我手里有刀，你没有杀手无寸铁的人。
只要不作妖，全身心投入到致敬经典上，就是最大的成功。这部片子做到了。
作为电影的最终章，也是一个很圆满的句号了，但是还是期待一下，希望能有续篇。
浪客剑心，世事苍茫，就此别过，后会有期。
剧情很完整，画面也很好，是个很好的故事，也获得了与之相匹配的呈现。
太唯美了，如果不是作为终章的终章而是单拎出来看，感觉效果会减分......
口刀反杀全屋灭门，临终前的萤火虫，林海雪原机关陷阱五感剥夺，抱歉夫君手刃留痕；厮杀双方说着一样的话：杀很多的人，是为了救更多的人——武士道真是与右翼军国主义不分家。也许让动漫电影达到《切腹》的深度很不现实？两部最终章感觉都是开场即高潮，后面一堆煽情文戏慢镜回放啥的，就连本来不错的动作戏也跟着无味起来；但在雪代巴日记一段还是被不中用地打动到了，毕竟距离当时看到的漫画结局，也二十多年过去了……
果然是之前看过的，又害我看了一遍，雪景yyds，巴——————————！
制作很强了，演员们的表演也很好，就是细节上瑕疵有点多并且明显导致容易出戏。
想看黑寡妇的发现没有合适的时间段准备就看了剑心，还行，比另一部the final强一点…
对白废话略多并直白，新时代到来的感伤，篇幅又太少。这份感伤和我回想十几二十年前缩在出租屋里看漫画的年轻人的感伤共鸣起来了。
我还是觉得日本电影叙事节奏很不路人友好。摄影画面很好看。
三部真人剑心里最喜欢的一部。当年OVA的刻骨铭心依然在，但对这部竟，丝毫没有觉得失望，意外。巴演得异常好。
虽然近镜里村花还是很大脸但她的阿巴已经很惊艳了。到追忆篇结束真是太好了，剑心就一直活着吧。
雪地场景拍得太美了😭😭😭 等我找个时间从第一部开始从头再看一遍
还原度超高，不愧是漫改天花板，比起人诛篇的节奏混乱一锅炖，追忆篇娓娓道来，有几幕可以说是神级还原了，唯一的缺点是村花虽然昭和颜，这部也是颜值巅峰了，但强凹成熟姐姐人设还是无法习惯，十年后的砂糖也老了几分，零姐弟cp感，优点是这次的明治维新组选角我很满意！尤其是是桂和总司，戏份更多一些就好了，OOR的ed还是一如既往的赞绝
比上一部EX弟弟找我来复仇强一点，终于把感情线梳理清楚了，但是打斗场景还是显得做作，纯粹为了精致好看跟剧情不吻合。冷硬的色调和人物设置也不太喜欢，感觉网飞插手后就是一袭华丽的袍子,里面爬满了虱子
浪客剑心系列的文戏实际上都比较一般，最突出的是武打戏，而在这一部，原著全本最具有情感冲击力的故事中，大友启史终于做出了抉择，武戏减少，文戏增多，处理得也可圈可点，至少不算差。另外作为前传，剑心终于用上了刀刃，刀刀见血，着实爽快。4星。
