The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 没有《吉屋出租》乃至百老汇的基础储备，要入戏确实有些障碍，就叙事性来说，根本和《爱乐之城》没法比，确实很难称为电影，又不是音乐剧，某些地方是情景剧的处理手法，总体更接近实景补拍完整的NT live，加菲全程表现高光，感觉比他之前演的电影都要来劲，巨投入，也许这就是舞台艺术的魅力吧。

米兰达也许会拍一部只在舞台上演出的音乐剧，但他并不会拍电影，影像不是音乐、独白、台词的补充，MV都不至于如此。更别提那些政治正确的符号，实在差劲。还是看看斯皮尔伯格的《西区故事》会拍成什么样吧。

不熱衷音樂劇，也不關注百老匯，很多隱藏彩蛋get不到。當勵志故事看三星半。

粉丝向作品，表演刻意，音乐随意，缺乏亮点，强行催泪。
才华的绽放在死亡之时最渺小，却在之后盛开。
估计看完rent再看会更有感触？好难过啊，大概是被捶打成了对什么都三分无所谓的社畜，梦想是什么？稀碎成渣渣了。
游泳都可以在水下看到音符谱曲，这想象力真绝了。

用处理舞台剧的手法来拍电影，连带着加菲也用夸张式的舞台剧状态来表演，能感受到努力但也觉得有些用力过猛，基本也是全片观感的缩影。剧中剧的模式其实有些节奏上的割裂，尤其在于主线落脚点找不准状况下；稍微了解一下背景能被Jonathan的事迹打动，但片子内呈现的效果就很cliché了。
虽然觉得表现一般（感觉状态和主流里有点像而主流是我心理阴影），还是希望加菲靠倒数时刻奥斯卡封帝，方便磕CP。
算是传记片，展示Jon的努力与挣扎，对于年龄和目前困境的焦虑，对未来的迷茫，对朋友、爱人离世离去的不舍，虽然塞进去“美国梦”跟同性恋的内容，但是不影响片子本身的质量，自我探索跟坚持是永恒的主题，不单单是“美国梦”才有的
唉，又看哭。fear or love，baby？
思考着后果，思考着退路，思考着回报，选择真的太需要勇气了。但除了未至的朝阳，还有黑夜里细微的星光。
