The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 处处透露着年轻人在现实世界里的尴尬。
质朴的作品，有风情，有诚意，有情怀，但故事层面还是普通，笑点虽密但大多局限于潮汕语言梗上，情节的推进也较为一般。
不过也是为了切合他们两人分开的主要原因。
妈妈好可爱，好多场景都有一种看似臭脸实则憨憨的可爱。
感情很细腻。

不知道为我还挺喜欢这种方言小成本的片子，其实它算不那种晦涩的文艺片，也够不上商业业片。

全片围绕打工仔凯带女友回家见婆婆这件事展开，影片中的笑料真实自然，与精心包装过的喜剧包袱相比，带有浓烈的生活气息。没有个体和城市命运的隐喻，有的只是生活中最琐碎平常的细节，但影片却异常抓人，看得人津津有味。
电梯戏份，衣服架。
看到片中间的时候，就在想千万不要是俗套的烂结局，一点也不现实。不过，也真有点害怕这片子有过于现实，还是会期待一个圆满的结局。
