The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 基于二十年前改变世界的真实事件，十年前的百老汇作品，官摄在今天这样的时期放出，站在全世界最偏僻的一个角落，呼唤人与人之间的守护和善意，再没有更合适的时机了。
形式惊人，转场等各种充满想象力。分扣在歌曲并没有特别抓耳。
想到一句不太相关的话“无尽的远方，无数的人，都与我有关”。
每个个体的困境依旧，但对痛苦的共同感知造就了鲜活的、善良的、沟通着的世界。
在英国看过他们的版本的，跟这个气质不同，但是同样有趣
故事主要传达爱、善意和理解。演员之间配合地很好，同一拨演员分饰两个不同地域的人，期间的角色转换一点不突兀，甚至在最后能很好地融合在一起，实在厉害。舞台灯光主要就是冷暖色相的变化，但是样式很丰富。音乐契合故事的发展脉络，最后单纯只有乐队的呈现也是个很好的结尾方式。
