The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 重金属和高中生并不冲突，女主很纯真的感觉，反差萌。
这几年看过的有关“重金属音乐”的电影，还是喜欢《重金属囧途》和《劣迹斑斑》。只有主唱和鼓手的乐队打算找个贝斯手。主唱强势且缺爱，鼓手懦弱而缺钱。他们认识一个会突然暴走（没注意是什么病）的大提琴女孩，主唱认为女孩不够“重金属”，鼓手则很喜欢女孩。于是主唱认为鼓手背叛了友谊和“重金属”，鼓手则认为主唱自私且不懂为人处世。最后当然是争吵后会和好，经历后才会成长。不仅乐队组成后取得了好成绩，而且三个人都更成熟了。有关音乐的青春成长电影，略套路，无惊喜。
很青春，又幻想又真实，实则和重金属的关联性并不大
这位演员应该是目前南非最棒的演员，他主演《所罗门的故事Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu》也很不错的。

还不错看！长发男挺神经的，自作自受，但是确实挺适合玩重金属乐队的！歌曲挺high！
重金属外衣下的青春碰撞，不算音乐片，当作青春片来看还是不错的，友情爱情，果然玩金属的还是内心细腻的腼腆人，整体还不错，会玩乐器真的好酷！
事件背景可以挖掘得更深入，但本片没有。没有很好地处理材料
故事俗套，男二基本就是照着奶哥弄得，男主毫无个人性格，女主还可以，停车场那段非常可爱，最后演出那段还可以。
故事好在简简单单不刻意，三位主演都好灵，啊这中二的青春！Ah, youth!

校园戏无趣。女主有点像年轻时候的海伦娜，朋克黑暗暴躁公主。亨特好中二哈哈哈哈，金属至死的雄心燃烧起来吧......
反正就嗨呗。每次看这种片都为自己校园时期没疯一把感到遗憾。
