The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 太怪了，真的是太怪了，前后简直两部电影，本来是个年代感爱情故事，然后变成了干细胞广告，这种转换之突然，已经达到让人看不懂但大为震撼的地步。但我真的还是挺喜欢王传君的了。
一名警察在经过内部调查后被停职，他在全国各地游荡，寻找自己的网恋对象。
都什么年代了，还在把男人性无能当纯爱拍。王朔写得这个故事，把男主作为跨越多年的主观视点，却全是被动行为。影片试图用具体的时间，来落实影片的真实感，但实际上每个角色都被拍得如同空总楼阁。王珞丹在清纯和风尘间游弋，导演以为自己拍得是社会，实则拍得是分裂。于是到影片结尾，干脆借着干细胞的概念，直接冲到超现实的高度了。什么“不老奇事”，根本就是叙事全线崩盘之后，作者依旧对自己那点文人式“纯情”的自恋罢了。
故事的逻辑有点不切实际，相遇和真相的过程则庸常琐碎，好在结尾的告别与分离把一个逃离、另一个隐瞒的两个心灵和解揉捏在一起，又让他们带着彼此的烙印继续踏上生活的旅程，音乐响起、巴士启程的瞬间有点动容。

生命开始的时候，我们哭着迎来自己；生命结束的时候，我们又哭着送走别人，在人生路上，我们是孤独的无助者。
到了后一半，导演似乎也放弃了用“人的两面”来诠释主角的心理变化。故事里性别分工如此明确，其实反而是更容易理解的吧。
