The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 重新为张伯伦翻案，或者说还原出更务实复杂的政治人物，此片相当成功，也得益于之前研究和小说的基础，Irons的表演入木三分。造成戏剧冲突的小人物视角和动作其实并无关大局，更为可信。
两星敬佩制作过程，不过太冗长了，完全可以压缩一半的。

我们总是在周而复始循环的地狱中挣扎着，将压迫视作尊贵，再转而与同阶级斗争，而总会有自以为清醒的人试着站出来，将自己视为歌者，妄图摧毁混乱无序的世界，从头建立一个新的纯洁
