The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 《烈日阳光》采取了平民的视角，将卢甘斯克地区的惨状用镜头记录下来，因为有些画面太过于血腥，本文没有一上传。有很多经历过乌东战争的人看过该片后认为这部电影非常真实，当时的乌东地区卢甘斯克就是宛如地狱一样的地方。

开头无论是内容还是色调，还是男主的脸我都很喜欢。看着看着放佛也感同身受到男主孤立无援的感觉、no friends no lover no family，还好奶奶一直支持着他。这漫长的等待审判的三个月。

客观3.3，感情分3.5星。可以看做是单身结局版的《欲盖弄潮》，一个男孩暑假里发生的艾滋感染疑云、与病友的暧昧甜蜜、和朋友的分分合合、对亲人的了解和自我成长，总体保持住了青春的甜蜜、明媚的忧伤、豁然开朗的成长气氛，看得人很舒心。
就这种糖水小片儿都拍不好，甚至找不到一个可以赞美的段落，就很无聊的片子。戳爷或成唯一亮点，但也不够亮。
