The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 好久没有这么爽的cult片了，断手和套娃绝对永垂邪史。
导演在cult的路上开起了飞机✈️，我看不懂，但我大受震撼……

是我们当下需要的“女性主义”电影。画面色彩和故事内核很Midsommar，最后一段令人瞠目结舌的隐喻有Mother!的味儿了，很wtf很直白，要是再克制点就更好了。but still影史级的恐怖桥段+精准的对toxic masculinity/slut shaming/PUA的刻画和反击=年度恐影。
一开始还正常，最后就十分annoying，看着嫌烦，烦什么？Men！让Men试试怀孕吧～

Ideology beside, it's a fucking good movie. Movie of the year for sure. Top top tier cinematography, sound design and acting. Kind of Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman at first, later fully dive into bizarre A24 uncanny valley. Alex Garland as the director: Ex Machina is good, but cheesy. Annihilation, fucking hate it. This one? Absolutely amazing.

一如既往的缺少核心表达，如果说湮灭的美学风格是继承自潜行者，这部就显得更杂糅了，可是隧道设计得再别有洞天也无法构建出第二梦，院中的苹果树只是和女人的碎片最后一幕相比都显得太刻意。虽说打碎重建也算是一种本领，但总是玩视听麻痹的花招，难免会指向更难填补的心灵空虚。以及我真的很在意女主误入的英格兰（?）荒村竟然是中式建筑风格……

在男权社会各种buff加持下的男人们总是如此地团结，暴躁的丈夫、伪善的房东、野外的变态、厌女的男孩、不作为的警察、道貌岸然的牧师，正反夹击，黑脸白脸红脸各司其职，为女性布下天罗地网。
如果看之前知道是机械姬的导演，我大概不会打开了。
